EXCERPT
“You do not know where to put your anger, and I do not know where to put my love for you. When do I learn to place it down? Where do I put it? Next to your anger? Next to my fear?” Alhaitham asks, and Kaveh opens his eyes. He looks terribly distraught, and is capturing Alhaitham’s wrist in his hands before Alhaitham can pull it back. Tentatively, he kisses the centre of Alhaitham’s palm, and then moves to kiss each of his fingertips. Alhaitham’s breath is a terribly fragile thing leaving his chest.“Put it with me. I will hold it for you. I have only ever been my love for you. It is all I am, Haitham. If you must put your love down, put it down with me,” Kaveh whispers, fraught, and Alhaitham’s eyes burn, his lungs burn, and his skin burns. Kaveh unfurls Alhaitham’s hand, and presses his face into it again, kissing the skin once more. The morning light is brightening the room, casting itself upon Kaveh’s face in its golden glory. It lights up his eyes, like rubies, like tiny suns that have been caught and brought down to the earth. His hair glows in a halo around him, and he sweeps Alhaitham’s breath away, just as he did the first time Alhaitham met him in the Akademiya.

My name is Saffron. I am currently 23+ years old, and use she/they pronouns. I write fanfiction, and mainly write Haikaveh although am always open to writing others! I love being involved in the fandom community and meeting new people.
